IdealCharities is pleased to announce their 2021 Quarter 3 charity, Outreach East! IdealCharities is an IdealTraits employee driven charitable fund that supports organizations important to our employees. Outreach East was nominated by Sales Development Representative, Monica Donias!
Outreach East is a year-round emergency resource center dedicated to assisting area individuals and families with food and other essentials in Mid-Michigan. Beginning as a food pantry in 1990, Outreach East now serves 7,000 clients a year with food, clothing, and utility & housing assistance. They are also involved in food reclamation, collecting un-served food from local schools and re-distributing it to those in need. IdealCharities was able to donate $1,840 as a cash donation to help them continue their work to meet basic needs of area families.
Monica nominated Outreach East because of the help they provide to families, especially during the Christmas season. Growing up, Monica was a recipient of Christmas gifts during the holiday season from Outreach East, and said that it made her feel like “the most special kid in the world on Christmas.” As an adult, Monica and her family “adopt” kids through Outreach East for Christmas to provide that same feeling for others. IdealCharities is very happy to be able to take a part in helping Outreach East to continue helping out the community in a positive way.
